- No installation required, does not take a lot of space, and easy to operate.
- It is safe and reliable with its auto power off system.
- It can produce 100% pure distilled water anywhere, anytime, and with any kind of water.
- A variety of safety certifications that are recognizable internationally, which guarantees our product safety.
- The MegaHome distiller is higly portable and produces approximately 1 U.S. gallon (3.785L) every 6 hours.
We also bought 2 glass water bottles from Wal*Mart that each hold about half a gallon. So, we have 1 gallon of cold water available in the fridge while another gallon is being made. The fan on the top of the distiller makes a "hum" although it is not excessively loud. The microwave and dishwasher are definitely louder than the fan on the distiller. I really do not notice the hum from it anymore.

"This model is a big improvement over the older one. First, the spout has a glass insert. Next, The old gallon jug was plastic which discolored and cracked over time. The new one is glass with a good strong handle. "By GMTaylor
"I really like it. I live in a little bit of a remote area and the house has a water softening system, which is great for doing laundry and taking showers, but not so great for drinking. So I decided to buy this Megahome Countertop Water Distiller and I really like it. I love the taste and coffee and tea tastes a LOT better. Don't even want to go back to tap water for that. "Five years and still running strong. I bought this product in 2002 and distill about three gallons per week. I really love it. I remember having one start-up issue, but the manufacturer quickly resolved the problem w/some over-the-phone instruction. For me, this has been a highly dependable product with no adverse issues. I love the convenience of the counter-top model and, because I no longer buy water from the store, I have saved money and heavy transport hassles over the years. I have the white, non-steel version of the same product. Highly recommend! " By Brigitte L. Adams (Washington DC)
This Megahome Countertop Water Distiller Stainless Steel Glass Bottle product earned 115 customer reviews and 90% are satisfied (as 11/2/2013).
I figure it uses about $.10 an hour in electricity, so that makes it half as expensive as purchasing distilled water in the supermarket. If it keeps working as it has so far, I will be more than pleased with it. For what it cost , even if it only lasts a year, I will save what I paid for it not having to buy distilled water. And I have this for 5 years.
